 Author's Background: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet and educator whose works include "Paul Revere's Ride", The Song Of Hiawatha and Evangeline. 


My Point-Of-View: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's The Rainy Day is not just a poem written because he feels sad. Longfellow wrote this poem because of his wife who died. The poem talks about lost and renewed hope. It shows that no matter how hard and many struggles we face in life we will overcome them.
